Rawlite OLPF Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro

Optical Low Pass Filter (OLPF) for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro

+ Moiré filtration + IR-cut

+ Installation has never been easier

+ Shim, tools and video for installation included

Aliasing and moiré are common issues with digital imaging. To prevent it from occurring most digital cinema camera’s (including the Arri Alexa) have a built in Optical Low Pass Filter (OLPF).

The original IR absorption filter of the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro does not have an OLPF.

For the BMPCC 6K Pro, Blackmagic made it easy to change the filter. The first step is to remove the turret (matte black cilinder inside the mount). The turret  is held in place by three screws. The second step is to loosen three screws of the original filter, so it can be taken out and replaced by the Rawlite OLPF.

This Rawlite OLPF is specifically designed for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro, preventing moiré while preserving detail. The assembly has been designed to preserve the same flange depth (distance between the rear of the lens and IR-filter). By doing so it’s assured that all lenses and adapters that work with the original filter, will work with the Rawlite OLPF.

A hot mirror coating is added to cut infrared light very effectively. An anti-reflective coating prevents unwanted reflections and enhances contrast.

No more moiré, no more IR contamination. No need for expensive IRND.

The Rawlite OLPF is thicker than the original filter. Consequently a shim is needed to correct backfocus. The shim is included in the kit, as well as tools needed for installation.
